Easter Bunnies

A few days ago I passed by Pottery Barn
and found this glass cloche with stand on sale..
It is a perfect size to keep my two bunnies under.

I have to keep my small breakables behind glass
away from my clumsy cat!
He would chew the moss and I would have to go
on an egg hunt to find these eggs again..

Did you notice the bunnies on this material?
I love the colour and print.

look at this lovely silk embroidered material!
There was only one yard left,
so I have to make the most out of it...

I already started making a pouch and
a Moses basket from it...
One yard you said?

How cute are the details..
something blue,

and something pink..

To be continued....

Baby carry Pillows

Last week I made a few carry pillows
for new born babies.

I love the heart design on the lace
and how it is gathered in the corners.
On this pillow I stitched the lace onto the base.

This is a pillow cover and the insert can
be taken out for easy washing.

I love the material of this blanket.
It is made of pure cotton, even the wading,
perfect for summer!

I bought a few, I will use them to make
tissue covers and pillows.
Even the backing looks nice.

Can you see the tiny little pink flowers
on the lace, so cute!

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

I'm on a painting break..

Last week I decided to go on a break
from sewing and picked up a paint brush..

I have many vintage chairs and tables
lying around.
I once went on a shopping spree at auction
and had a 20 foot container sent
over to Dubai.
We are using a lot of the pieces at home, some were sold
and the rest were stacked away.

Watching tutorials of Miss Mustard Seed
and many other ladies made me brave enough
to pick up a paint brush and start painting,
waxing, distressing and staining...

No stripping... no sanding...
How nice is chalk paint!

I love the green paint, I will have to sew some
pink cushions to make this chair comfy.

I also gave 'antique white' a go,
so my telephone stand had to endure
the assault..

This pretty chair will be my next victim!
I still have some pink paint...

I found myself singing while painting,
I think my sewing break will be long!

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Today I will join in with

Toy-bag and Diaper-stacker

Today I finished this pretty diaper-stacker
and toy-bag for a client that came all the way
from Scotland to collect!

The toy bag has silk bows so it can be tied to the crib.

For the little blanket I used soft cotton
on both sides.
The extra material on the sides are for tucking in.

This iron bed is still waiting to be covered.
You can see the thickness of the mattress,
I have them all custom made.

Here is a picture of that same bed in blue.
Just let me know what colour you want me to make it in...

I also made a few pocket tissue holders,
they are fun to make.
As long they aren't too many...

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Four-poster Baby Bed

This week I managed to make five
baby pouches..
Cream and pink ...

 Beige and pink...

Some more tissue covers...

This one is less girly, I thought the guys
might want one!

Here is my bed-cover displayed in the shop
where I bring my items.
I love their French bed.

Look at this beauty!
Fit for a little prince or princess.
This is the last four poster baby bed I have
and it is still available in

Covered in cream silk, with lace and gold coloured ribbons.
It comes with
an extra pink set so you can change the bedding
to suit a little girl.

I felt a little creative and made the pouches
a bit different,
an oval stitched on top of the panel...
I did say a little..

Here I got creative...!
a few layers of lace to resemble a skirt.

I think it looks cute, at least different..

These pink polka dots buckets were
staring at me for a few months and
I finally covered them.
Aren't the little flowers just a perfect
match to the dots on the bucket!

I hope you are having a wonderful week!
