One Lace, many possibilities..

I have a few yards of this dark beige floral lace
and today I used it in a few of my projects.
Here I covered a perfume bottle..

The lace is easy to cut, I just followed the flowers.
I added a panel to the front of the round cushion
and a bit to the side of the tissue box cover.

Here I added two layers of lace to
 the table cover.

I love my new finds,
paper flowers in a pretty soft pink colour
and oval lace to add to just anything...

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Today I will be joining in with

Snug as a Bug in a Rug...

We can never get enough of
cream and beige...

I had to fill up the corners of this baby pouch.
The request was to make the front panel round
so this was my only option and I think
it turned out great!

These days I add four layers of lace
around the the skirt of the Moses Basket.

I have many requests from overseas
for a baby bed or Moses baskets.
I am sorry, I don't send outside the
Emirates.

This was my first time to make
a baby swaddle wrap..
This doll is too stiff to swaddle!

My baby pouches have zippers
on both sides.

Four layers of lace!
I wonder why I use silk
when it doesn't even show...
Next time I'll use cotton!

I hope you have a wonderful
week with many new projects.

New Baby Bed

I would like to show you my
new Baby Bed with Butterflies..
Wrought Iron, solid beauty,
covered with cotton material on the inside
and ivory silk on the outside, held up
by twelve silk bows.

This design softly swings...
I love this bed!

I used organza material for the canopy
and sprinkled on some butterflies.

Here it shows how the bed can swing.

I added eight layers of cotton lace
to the bottom of the bedding.

In this picture you can see how big the bed is.

Layers and layers of frills...

Even the legs are pretty..
The man that makes my beds is a true artist!

I got the idea for my new bed from
 a picture I saw in a magazine.
An antique baby bed with butterflies on the wall.

Baby Pillows

One of my favorite things to make are
Baby carry pillows.

This one is so sweet with three layers
                                                    of lace all around.

I make them with loose inserts so
they can be easily washed.
On this one I used cotton lace.

A perfect match!

I hope you have a great weekend.

A touch of purple

The days are flying by..
so much to do and so little time.
Last week I finished these cushions
to match the cover I made before.

This cushion measures 70 x 70 cm...

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Dear Grandmas and Grandpas

 The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly it’s true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.
It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'
So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy, Scan' and  'Paste' her
And send her back to me.

This is a tribute to all  the Grandmas and Grandpas
who have been fearless and learned to use the computer.........
They are the  greatest!!!

We do not stop playing because we grow old;
We grow old because we stop playing  ....

NEVER Be The First To Get Old!
