Post Bag Pillows

On the hunt for special materials I came across this yummy
striped heavy cotton and one with post-stamps, put the two together and voila...
Postbag cushions!

I liked it so much and wanted more... so the next day I went back to the store
only to find out, a few hours ago a lady bought the whole lot.
I never learn!

I did buy the remaining 7 yards of this world-map material.
It has a lot of pink in it...

So I made bolsters, a lot of them...
pillows and cushions.

I love the stamps...
Stop whining!!

This is my favorite pillow 80cm.x 38cm.
I squeezed all the stuffing of a pillow to one side and
stitched it in the length so it became long, narrow
and super stuffed.

Stacked...

What else could I make with this yummy material...
Bags! of course, just the way I like it, a long strap so I can wear it across my shoulder.

This was the first one and I lined it with heavy padded material.
I added a bit of lace on the sides,
but it is too heavy and stiff.

Lastly, I always misplace my glasses and mobile phone,
not anymore!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hugs.

  8. Popped over from Feathered Nest Fri. Your pillows are to die for. I love postage themed fabric, paper, anything you name it. The bag turned out so cute also. Can't wait to see what you do with the map fabric. Two years ago My youngest daughter got married. I told her I would make her a quilt. The first fabric she picked was a cream/tan map design. We added other browns and blues and it turned out really cute.
