More Baby Beds

One day before I travel...
I finished my Moses baskets.
This is the bed I made two days ago
and the lady couldn't make up her mind,
beige or pink bows and flowers...

It ended up with beige.

Now a complete different basket,
baby blue...

For this baby basket I used cotton
for the lining and four layers of lace on the
outside.
These oval shaped panels
can pull the canopy up from the sides
to play with the design.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Silk Covered Moses Basket

Today I finished this beige silk Moses basket.
I have to make one more before I travel...
I'll leave on the 18th to England to see my
youngest daughter who is studying in Colchester
and stay with her for four days.
Then hop over to Holland to visit my parents
for two weeks.
I requested lots of rain and cold weather...

These beautiful roses I got from my better half,
we celebrated our 36th year wedding anniversary,
I've got the sweetest husband ever!

On this baby bed I used a very light lace canopy.
I love the flower detail.

I only used beige and cream colours
for the basket and canopy.

Here is a closer look of the curtain.

This is still one of my favorite cushions,
I'll keep it a bit longer, just to look at it...

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Covered Tissue Boxes

Today I'm in the tissue cover making mood!
The shop where I bring my items to
were asking for them.

On this cover I used the lace with the
cut out flowers.

This flower trim is handmade from Turkey
and looks so sweet stitched on this
small tissue box cover.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Lavender Sachets

I still have a lot of lavender from my
last vacation in France.
Today I used some to make these cute sachets.

First I made a few tissue-box covers
and had some velvet material scraps over,
just enough to make one sachet...

It turned out so cute,
now I had to make some more.

Random buttons.
They look nice for the picture..

So does she...

I love working with lavender,
now my craft-room smells so nice.
It brings me back to the south of France,
walking through the lavender fields..

Pink Coverlet

Today I finished this coverlet.
I think it will be easier to use than a quilt cover.
It can be used over a blanket or quilt and could be removed
before going to bed so it doesn't need to be washed
as often as a quilt cover.

I made a bed-skirt to match.

These pillows were a headache to make,
I found it hard to get all the gathering
to match up equally.
It took me a whole day of fidgeting and I don't
think I will make them again any day soon...

I found this nice lace material that I can
cut out around the flowers to make any shape I want.

I am not too sure about the bows
but they are easily removed...

The bed-cover was fun to make even
with all the gathering...

I hope you have a creative week.
