My New Carpet

I love it when my daughters ask me
'What would you like for Christmas?'

I knew exactly what and where to get it from...
This beautiful carpet was on my mind for a long time
and Global Village was the place!

The carpet is handmade, cross stitched with wool.
I am so happy with it.
Thank you girls!

Today I finished making these
chair pad covers for my dining chairs.
I seldom make things for me to keep,
these are staying!

My new carpet is for my living room
but the lighting there is bad, so I
drag all my items to the bedroom where the
light is perfect for pictures.

I love my new romantic chair pads..

Happy Holidays!

Today I am joining in with

  1. Hi Angela,
What a beautiful carpet gifted from your daughters. Love the design and colors. Fabulous chair covers as well! Wishing you all the best in the New year.

  2. That is a beautiful carpet! Your chairs are so pretty--I love them! I am constantly looking for something like that. Your chair pads look lovely too.

  3. Dearest Angela,
Not only do I love your cross stitched carpet and your chair pads but your chairs as well! You for sure must feel HAPPY!
Hugs to you and enjoy your last days of 2012.
    Happy New Year to you.

  4. That's a beautiful carpet, it must have taken quite a while to create. Love your frilly seat pads :-)

  5. Hi Angela,
Your new carpet is gorgeous, and your chair pads too!

    Happy New Year!

  6. Would have to agree with everyone else – the carpet’s amazing! Can’t believe it’s cross-stitched! :D It’s a great addition to your house. Don’t forget to immediately wash it if it gets spilled on so the stain won’t stick. It’ll be harder to remove it if that happens.

  7. I agree with Lyda! Can’t also believe that the carpet’s hand-stitched. :D It just looks so great! Good tips on carpet cleaning too. :D
