Silk Organza

See what I found... silk organza with velvet
embroidered roses, it can't get any yummier than this...
Now I have to find out what to make out of it.

Oh! and here are some more cushions.
Sweet fairies for a little girls room.

Lots of birds, flowers and patterns.

Rachel Ashwell's sample material..

Can you see the pink lace peeking from under
there?

Why should girls have all the fun!

So I made a few blue baby pouches;
now boys can feel special too!

I hope you have a lovely week.

Lavender Cushions

This week I've been so busy finishing orders
and making lots of cushions.

These cushions and bolsters are going to
Cottage Chic, my friend's new shop that's opening
soon in Mirdif City Centre.

This cute canopy is going to hang over
a baby bed, suspended from a hook
fixed to the ceiling.
It's two and a half meters long.

The lace on top looks like a little crown,
I love the roses.. it is hard to find pretty roses here.
The best artificial flowers you can find in a shop called Sia,
it is hard to tell them apart from fresh flowers.

These are Sia flowers.

What would my post be without any pouches!!
Here we have three new ones...

Number one...
Pink silk with cotton pique fabric on the inside.

Pouch number two.

Pouch number three.

This one has a silk front panel but for the rest
I used cotton.

I hope you have a lovely week.

Moses Basket

Today I finished making this sweet Moses Basket.
It's going to an exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Unfortunately I will not be there, however
the shop where I bring my items to has a stall and will exhibit for three days.

I love the little blanket I made.
It's an idea I saw in Pottery-barn, minus the lace..
I still didn't make my king size one, I'm still dreaming about it!

How romantic is this curtain!

If you were wondering about my pretty wooden box..
I bought it here in Dubai, but it is made and hand painted in China.

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's day.

Boudoir Chairs

These days I am enjoying myself and going
all out with making frilly froufrou poufs,
try saying that three times in a row...

I bought lots of this embroidered cotton
so you will be seeing many items made out of it.

Do you remember my previous post about the material
with birds and butterflies I found? Today I used it on these
cushions.

I've cut out the pictures and zig-zagged it on the linen
cushion, and framed it with a narrow strip of lace.

On this cushion I kept the material as it is
and stitched the linen oval shape on top.

I am glad to get the discontinued samples of
Rachel Ashwell's materials.
I used them on these pillows.

The roses on this lace are a perfect match to the fabric.

Meet Madame de Pompadour...

Enchante!
I do prefer the chair on the left; the one on the right
is a tad overdressed!
