Baby Pouches

A few pouches I had to make for my customer, I love the pink and cream one but to get an order for a brown one was a bit out of my comfort zone... in the end it was a communication error, she meant dark beige... oh well, back to work.

A line up of knife-stands leading up to the cutest of pink fluff.

 I started to really enjoy doing this collage.

These are real edible cakes, they were favours at a wedding a few month ago and they keep well.

 Some of my silver spoons I bought at an auction in Holland.

 The big fork in this picture is used for toast and the scissors for grapes..

 I covered these soaps with lots of lace and change them every month so they keep smelling nice.

My living room

This is my living room,

I love my IKEA couches with washable covers, ideal with my cats and dogs.

 Clutter? no way! I collect .....

 I often imagine how this sideboard will look painted, one day..

The carved detail in the wood is so nice, perfect to play with.

This Moses Basket can be used for a boy or girl, there are still some people that wait and see what they will get and keep the gender of the baby a surprise.

The Moses Basket fits perfectly in this stand, I know an artist who is so talented, all I have to do is give him a drawing and he can make it exactly, I am very lucky to work with him.

 Here is my bedcover in the show, they already sold most of the items.

This is a bathtub in the shape of a shoe, covered in mosaic.

How about these yummy ceramic cake containers, they were already sold, I wanted them…

Clouds in Dubai... will it rain at last?
The building in the background is the tallest in the world and Tom Cruise is making a ‘Mission Impossible’ movie at the moment in Dubai and was seen abseiling from it last week.

New Bedcover.

It only takes a nice piece of lace and I want to build a whole bedcover around it, pillows, chair and bed skirt. I don’t mind making a single or even a queen size cover, but a king size is too big to handle on my table.

The bed skirt has become easier to make because I stitch it to a half meter panel that goes under the mattress so it will fit under any size.  

These still belong to my previous bedroom set.

 The bed still needs some more pillows to make it look nice and cozy.        

 Tomorrow is another day…

Still learning....

I am still learning how to use Picasa.

 I am always on the look out for small tea-sets to decorate my wreaths with.

The flower lamp I found at a flea market in Lille and only paid 12 Euros for it. I managed to take it  as hand luggage all the way to Dubai and it now hangs in my bedroom.

As for the little container with the girl and boy on it, I bid for it at an auction and now it's mine...

Bed-Skirt

Did I mention that I use lots of net to make the bed-skirt puff out.

The bed set is not made for this bed but for a single size bed which would be lower to the ground. Hopefully it will puff out more than this.

How to: Frilly Frames

These frames are easy to make and they can add a touch of romance to any wall. You can use floral or any other prints. Children’s bedroom frames are also nice; a simple bow will do for decoration.
I used cotton material, some lace trimming, flowers, beads and the rings used for embroidering to make these. The glue-gun keeps it all together.

Between the two fabrics there is space to add dried lavender if you like.

 Here I used heavy cotton to seal the back of the frame.
