Marie Antoinette Baby Basket
Inspired by Marie Antoinette's dresses and pretty cakes
I made this Moses Basket.
I watched the movie with a pen and paper in hand and took details
of all the colours and decorations they used.
I wanted to make a few baby beds in that style.
Here is the first one.
The bed looks like a raspberry and pistachio
cream cake...
I will make a plain off-white blanket with
a little bit of pink for choice.
At the end of the net I stitched a thin
satin ribbon.
I think the top of the bed came out perfect; matching the bed.
I put net under the material to make it puff out.
I hope you have a great week.
Hugs.

Sweet Four Poster Baby Bed
Today I finished the four poster crib and brought
it to the shop that sells my work.
Sugar sweet bed, fit for a princess.
I used silk for the bumper and cotton for the
bedding.
Layers of cotton lace on the blanket.
I want to make a few Moses baskets that will
resemble the dresses of Marie Antoinette.
I love her dresses in the movie, with all the silk, lace, bows and flowers.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
Hugs.

Baby Bed Bumper Set
Today I made baby bedding with a crib bumper
in neutral colours.
The blanket I made a while ago, so I found some matching materials
to complete the set.
The crib is not with me so I posed the set on the table
for some pictures.
The bed skirt will just peep from under the mattress.
The customer didn't want a long one.
The bumper will cover all four sides of the crib
and the little bolster will be tucked
behind the baby to prevent the baby from rolling back.
This is a flat pillow with lace.
All this is cute for a little baby but I believe
all loose items should be removed after the baby is
about two months old.
Safety first.
See what I found yesterday in a 'market'...
All made by hand, so pretty, it has to be vintage.
Nobody has the patience anymore these days..
I'm so happy to have found this in perfect condition.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
Hugs.

More Chic than Shabby
Looking up the word 'Shabby' isn't a very nice definition.
So I chose Chic rather than Shabby...
I wonder why we like to refer to our style as
Shabby Chic?
Two pouches for two ladies both expecting girls.
This is my favorite one, so girly and sweet.
I enjoy my work more if I have a free hand in choosing
the materials and lace.
I'll be glad to finish the orders and make new designs
and be creative.
Hugs.
