How to make a Lavender Lace Heart.

Here is an easy way to make a Lavender Filled Heart.

 I found some white ready-made cotton lace hearts and coloured a few with tea.

Here I pinned two together and stitched around the

cotton edge to make a pouch for the lavender.

 Keep the top part open to fill with flowers.

Stick lace, flowers and ribbons with the glue gun on top of the opening to seal it and fix a cord to the back so you can hang it on door-knobs or bed-posts or anywhere that needs a little love.

This one escaped the tea bath...

Crochet Hearts.

These hearts were bought ready-made.

They were given out as gifts to celebrate the arrival of my granddaughter.

Vintage handmade lace.

I would like to show you some of my vintage lace,

I keep it safely packed away because it is so delicate and rips easily.

This one is about 2 m. long and 50 cm. wide, could have been used to cover the hair.

  

Here is a close up of the handwork, there are some flowers and leaves that are applied separately
onto the work, I wonder how long it took to make this cover.

 
This is today's work, another sample seat cushion, after the O.K. I will need to make six of them.

A vintage table cover, with cherubs, perfect to keep out for Valentine's day.

Last week I found this amazing fabric and this is what I used it for.

A close-up of the material shows how the flowers and leaves are raised above the rest of the material.

Linen seat cushion

Today I made a cushion from the material I found and 'couldn't resist'.

When I'm in the market and come across some material or lace,

I'll buy it and think later of what to make with it.

I have to admit, my name is Angela and I am a hoarder. 

These days I like to cut up my doilies

and add them to pillows and other things.

While in my bedroom where I take my pictures,

my Victorian dresser felt neglected, so now I put her in the spotlight.

    

To all you ladies with the painbrush in hand, please put it down!

This beauty will stay just as she is...

 

Oh! how I wish I had that red stamp...

I could buy a house with it.

I love this chair, my star sign is Leo.

Never again! bedcover...

Today I finished making this quilt cover.

While working on it I keep telling myself never to make a king size cover again!

After a month or so I forget the work that went into it

and agree to make one more...

I mixed crushed velvet, silk, lace and crochet lace.

The milk jug and sugar pot are vintage and so is the lace edged

tray cover, the rest is new.

The flowers I keep in a tea pot that has lost it's lid a long time ago.

I bought it in Holland at a flea market for one Euro.

I cut up a crochet doily and stitched it on the pillow covers and on the patches of the blanket.

                                             

Key Box

Last week I found these key boxes and bought a few,

knowing me I couldn't just leave them as they were...

A bit of lace left and right to leave my mark.

I left enough space to see the numbers and keys through the window. 

I was glad to find some fresh spring flowers in the market,

next time I visit Holland I should remember to buy lots of bulbs to

take with me back to Dubai so I will have more flowers growing at home.

I'm still showing off my vintage keys and my pink Toile.

My whole rooms smells so sweet thanks to the Hyacinth.
