Baby Pouch

Now you can pass this baby pouch down to your daughter.
It will be nice to embroider each baby's name and birth date inside the cover.

Hand stitch the opening closed.

                           Decorate the overlap with… you guessed it… more lace!

Add a few satin bows and now you have your very own Heirloom baby pouch.

Now add one layer of lace all around on the edge,

 then pin a 50 cm. long zipper on each side and zigzag them in place.

Now put the cotton inner layer on top and pin it all around and straight stitch it leaving an opening to turn it out.

Now decorate the top part with lace and stitch in place.

Leave 14cm. empty to be folded over in front.

I use a disappearing ink pen to mark where it needs to be stitched, the layers need to be secured.

The inside and outside layers are each in one piece, 133 cm. long x 43 cm. wide

The layer close to the baby should be cotton and the outside layer can be anything fancy.

Each layer needs to be lined with wading and stitched around.

Heirloom

We are always looking for that precious heirloom to present your new baby to the world.

Why not make your own, it is not hard to do.

All you need is some silk or fine cotton and lots of lace, new or old.

Wading to line and give it more volume.
