Princess on a pea

As promised, here we have a little princess on a pea.
She has been tossing and turning the whole night!

Can you find the pea?

Pillows and Cushions part 2

Some more pillows and cushions,
I think I've made enough for two small benches.
Stacked high for the princess and the pea!
That calls for another photo, until tomorrow...

I used some more discontinued sample materials for these pillows,
this time the samples were a nice size to use. I love the different textures and to finish
it off I used pom poms on the corners, it is a children's bench after all.

I have these little crochet flowers for a few years now
and finally I found the perfect place for them.

The little mattress is not made for this bench,
I made one green and one pink,
I think the whole set looks so cute.

Cushions and Pillows.

These days I'm busy making pillows for the shop
frilly and pink,
I still have a little Toile material left, my favourite material!
Any thing I use Toile with instantly looks nice.

These cushions are for a little bedroom bench.

I ordered some nice material to re-upholster this Victorian chair.
Then I have to find some courage to actual do it...
I keep telling myself to paint some cupboards but I'm still too chicken.
All the paint, brushes, varnish removers, tag removers, etc.. all there,
safely stored away for that first step.

Something Old and Something Blue

Over at Bizzy, she is hosting a party to find
anything old and blue in your home and post about it and link up with her blog.
So I went for a hunt through my house to find something old and blue,
this is what I came up with.

Showing off my Wedgewood...

The old things here are the lace and pill boxes.

I hope you can come over and join in with

Cream silk Moses basket

This Moses basket is going to Saudi Arabia,
I think the ladies there are also bitten by the lace bug!

Super soft and frilly, I love the green lace,
it makes a nice change from beige and pinks!

I even put lace under the skirt...

The ribbon across keeps the hood up.

Mille Feuille cushion

The other day I was given discontinued samples of materials
from the shop where I bring my items.
The samples were quite small so I cut them in squares with zig-zag scissors,
(Pinking shears)

I cut a heavy cotton material for the cushion, 40x40 cm.
and drew lines where I should stitch along.
A diamond shape or heart would also be nice.
I then pinched the middle of the cut out little squares and stitched each one to the cushion
with a centimeter space between them.
Keep going round and round until you reach the center.
Then make a simple overlap on the back.

It took a few hours, but it was fun to make.

I love this guide, it lets you know of all the flea-markets in France and informs on how many stands there are, on which days, what you can find there and in detail how to get there,
I wish I could go to every one of them...

Lyon page 97, 400 vendors! Yasmin, how come you never showed me this market?
Lyon is where my daughter and family lives and are moving
soon to Strasbourg page 105, 25 vendors..., next time when I visit, I'm sure to take my guide with me!

Who said 'no frills' for boys?

Most baby pouches I make are for girls but I think baby boys can use a bit of lace too.
Here we have a cute baby blue pouch.
I love it!

Here it shows how it looks like when both zippers are opened.

I hope you have a lovely week.
